About Me
Ashley Bradshaw is an emerging abstract expressionist based in Lehi, Utah. A 2019 graduate of Lehigh Charter School for the Performing Arts and a current student at Utah’s Visual Art Institute, she explores color, texture, movement, and gesture as a visceral form of emotional expression. Her work is deeply intuitive, guided by a commitment to experimentation and a willingness to embrace unconventional materials and ideas.
Through an ever-evolving practice, Ashley continues to refine her artistic voice into one that invites interpretation, connection, and an unfiltered sense of presence. Her work is held in private collections and has been exhibited in community shows throughout Utah.
My Approach
I am interested in art that reveals a certain physiological time stamp of an artist’s experience and, as someone who feels deeply, work to deliver the same message in my own work—creating as an act of therapy and from a deep inner necessity. I find painting to be inherently somatic, where marks are initiated from an intuitive, internal place. With a passion for both visual and performing arts, I draw from a wide range of influences, embracing art as a universal language above all else. Through each piece, I strive to give physical form to the immaterial (and often indescribable) —moments, emotions, and sensations that live within my mind and body.
Inspired by the infinite interpretations abstract work invites, I hope that in connecting with my art, I can, in some way, connect with those who experience it.
