WHAT REMAINS

WHAT REMAINS

This piece, like much of my work, was built on patience—marks made, covered, and re-emerged, shaped by persistence. Learning to treat the work without preliminary attachment, holding nothing as too precious, allows the painting to find itself over time. Layers of soft texture and faint impressions hold evidence of what came before, while small, deliberate openings reveal depth beneath the surface.

Abstract work teaches me what life does: the most authentic things emerge when I don’t try to control them too soon. What remains is what was meant to.
